A digital coloured pencil drawing from my original photograph of the village of Sonning-on-Thames in Berkshire. Once across the nearby bridge, however, you reach Sonning Eye in Oxfordshire - from where this image was captured. Sonning is a picturesque village just further downstream from Reading, and was described by Jerome K Jerome in 'Three Men In A Boat' as 'the most fairy-like little nook on the whole river' The village is now home to a number of celebrities.

Exeter Quay Number of views as of 29th August 2018 = 1000. Dating back 2000 years or more, the historic quayside by the River Exe in the city of Exeter (Devon, England) has seen many changes over the centuries. Exeter's wealth came from the woollen trade which peaked in the mid 18th century. Cloth woven in the area was loaded onto ships on the quay and transported all over the world. Nowadays the quay offers relative peace and quiet, just 5 minutes walk away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Date: 8th December 2012.

Classic line from a classic movie!

The 1st Battalion 31st Infantry Regiment remained in Korea, however, serving there until its inactivation in 1987. It has still never served in the continental United States. In 1974, the 2d Battalion was reactivated at Fort Ord, CA where it remained until its inactivation in 1988.
