Bishop's Palace Moat, Wells Number of views as of 9th May 2018 = 525. The Bishop's Palace in Wells (Somerset, England) has been the home of the Bishops of Bath and Wells for over 800 years. A Grade 1 listed building, the building of the palace began in the year 1210 AD on land adjoining the city's cathedral. The walls, gatehouse and moat were added in the 14th century. Originally, the palace was surrounded by a medieval deer park. Much of the palace is now open to the public as a tourist attraction, and is well worth a visit. Date: 12th July 2015.

The Church of St Mary, East Quantoxhead, May 2021 The Grade 2 listed, Anglican church of St Mary, in the village of East Quantoxhead (Somerset, England) was built in the 14th century on the site of an earlier church building. The church is adjacent to the Court House, home to the lords of the manor. Restoration work took place in the 17th and 19th centuries. Date: 26th May 2021.

To all those who love the red and blue team, Somerset Cricket Club for Bermuda's Annual CupMatch Festival!

This was one of the more interesting long exposures I took at Somerset Dam over Anzac weekend. The clouds were perfect for this type of photography and everyone was moving around quite a lot, which made for some interesting ghosts! I also liked the bit of lopsided-ness to the photo because it just seems to accentuate the clouds that much more.

An Exmoor Stronghold Overlooking the North Somerset coast and the Bristol Channel, this fine castle stands firm today as it has for 900 years when it replaced a motte and bailey construction on the same site. Prior to that there were several iron age hill forts in the area, so this has long been a place of human settlement, where communities sought safety for their families and livestock. Not saying exactly where it is, but you're welcome to guess! Date: 27th December 2021.

Burrowbridge in Somerset, England, is a village at the foot of a hill called Burrow Mump from which you can overlook the flatland of the often flooded Somerset Levels. The ruin of an old church adds to the charm of this idyllic place.
