Trebarwith Strand at High Tide, Cornwall Posters and Art Prints

The coastline of North Cornwall is a photographer's delight. The ocean has pounded away at the edge of this land to form fascinating coves, headlands, cliffs, bays, etc. to provide spectacular scenery. This image is of Trebarwith Strand at high tide. The tidal fluctuations are great on this stretch of coast. At low tide, a wide beach (strand) opens up, one that is popular with surfers, but at high tide, the waves break against the rocky cliffs. Here the tide breaks against the rocky shore just by Trebarwith village. The waves rush in and will soon envelop the point from which I captured this image.
