Ladies and gentlemen, the Siren of the Tropics. Imagery selected based on aesthetic and resolution, and modified to negate the imperfections of time.

This artwork features a woman in an elegant vintage style, reminiscent of the 1920s or 1930s. She has a pale complexion, bobbed black hair, and striking facial features with bold lipstick. The woman is wearing a dark, possibly velvet, dress with a low neckline and decorative beading. Adorning her head is a golden band that wraps around, accented with a luxurious feather piece that cascades to the side, indicative of the flapper headbands from the Art Deco era. The background is filled with dark green pine branches from a Christmas tree, and is dotted with warm golden candles, giving the scene a festive and warm atmosphere. The composition is framed within an oval, focusing the viewer's attention on the woman's face and upper torso.

1920s Inspired Collage Design

Despite an alcoholic father who left her family when she was still very young, and a mother who made a living by doing laundry, Constance Talmadge escaped her past and became one of the biggest stars of the silent film era. Her friend Anita Loos, who wrote many screenplays for her, appreciated her "humor and her irresponsible way of life." Imagery selected based on aesthetic and resolution, and modified to negate the imperfections of time.

Art Decor is a fabulous design based on art deco. The famous art deco architecture of the time was all the rage and inspired various designs of wall art. Before the art deco era, the art nouveau style was much in evidence and this new style brought clean lines and simplicity to design, characterised by the stark straight lines and minimal colours. Whereas I am not an art deco designer, sadly, I still appreciate this retro style and play on words that we use today. Think of yourself as a flapper girl!

From a book of scandalous swimming costumes published maybe in the 1920s. The amount of ankles on display in that publication was considered so shocking that it was said to have been the cause of prohibition,
