This giant, ancient cedar is on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The title comes from the fact that what probably saved this kingly tree from logging over the years was that it is growing in an inaccessible part of the island. I used the photos of T.J. Watt at the Ancient Forest Alliance as references.

An ancient woodland, sees elderly silver birch trees, matured. This simple setting of trees on established patch of land, caught my eye. Not thinking much about Christmas, working in post it had that accent of tones which made me reminisce of the old christmas cards that we often used to see... and so I set to, to make a photographic similar... all its missing is the glitter! Edited in photos and then lightroom. Shot using Sony A7 with Carl Zeiss Pancolor f/1.8
