Let everyone know that you need to save your spoons! (I think this is a particularly good design for a comfy sweatshirt or a tote bag!) Folks with chronic illnesses (EDS, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and so many others) use “spoons” as a unit of energy. We only have so many spoons in a day. It takes spoons to cook, shower, work, socialize, and play. If you’re “saving spoons,” it means you can’t do too much today because you know you need to do stuff tomorrow! How many times a day do we say "I'm fine", when it's only because we know that nobody really wants to know? This design has been inspired by the really bad flare day I just had, and how I try to lessen the burden of chronic illness on my partner.
