In 1968, Burt Reynolds bought a 153-acre ranch in Jupiter, Florida with the intention of it being his lifelong estate. He converted the overgrown farmland to his own private hideaway, complete with multiple houses, barns, landscaped lakes, film sets, and even a mausoleum where he intended to be interred. Being an animal lover, Reynolds also had show horses, herds of African antelope, fallow deer, a few waterbuck and even a couple of bison living on the grounds. The ranch even had a working feed and tack store up front, that not only helped keep Reynolds' animals fed, but also served other farms in the area. Eventually, much of the property was open to the public, where they could explore the ranch, and interact with the animals.

In Borrego Springs, California, there are over 130 metal sculptures, created by artist Ricardo Breceda, scattered throughout the desert landscape. Among the dinosaurs there, is this 'Spinosaurus'. I took this before dawn on a chilly March morning. The glow on the horizon, I believe, is lights from Brawley, CA, or a nearby airport. The large star in front of, and about eye level with, the dinosaur, is Jupiter. The exposure was 20 seconds to get the Milky Way, with a little light painting to illuminate the dinosaur.

For all the reading, traveling, trying, and thinking Sagittarius does, it may rightfully deserve to be the boasting know-it-all of the zodiac.

In 1687, Sir Isaac Newton published his Principia, in which he outlined his laws of gravity and motion. His work on comets was decidedly incomplete. Edmund Halley asked to see his calculations and was told by Newton that he could not find them, but promised to redo them and send them on later, which he eventually did, in a short treatise entitled 'On the motion of bodies in an orbit'. Halley recognised the importance of the work and returned to Cambridge to arrange its publication with Newton, who instead went on to expand it into his Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica published at Halley's expense in 1687.
