I painted this for a bet with the landlord of a pub in Wapping, London. He saw the picture in a magazine advertising a camera. He said if you can paint this I'll buy the painting off you. He l9ved it, oil on canvas.

When I lived in Devon I painted a lot of local scenes this is one painting I fortunately recorded for you to enjoy in print, canvas or card. Its an abandoned silver mine on the edge of Dartmoor. Dartmoor is a formidable both dangerous and beautiful place. The weather can change within minutes, there are lots of bogs and quicksand that you can get caught in if you don't know the moor. One reason they built a prison there.

As a child, living in Whipton we used to walk the narrow country lanes that took us to a place called Pinhoe, a very old Devon Village on the outskirts of Exeter I remember an old derelict farmhouse we used to go into with friends and play, we also thought it was haunted. I painted this picture of the house from memory.

Back in 1978 I found some old sketches of Houses and villages in Kent, England. The sketches judging by the clothing of the people in them must have gone back to the 17 or 1800's. I decided to turn the sketches into paintings and this is the result, the painting you see before you. painted on a 16 by 20 inch canvas in oils. It is believed to be Charing in Kent and the old church of St Peter and St Paul.

I was a police diver and a sports diver for many years. From all the Underwater video I took I produced enough paintings to have an Underwater Exhibition.

ts a misty morning at King Segemores Drain in Somerset, and slightly grey but very atmospheric making an unusual painting, most people are in bed this time of the morning.

I was commissioned to paint a long English garden but to include everything. The only way I could do this was to paint a sort of fish ete view. Oil on canvas

Being half English and Scottish on my mothers side, I have a close affinity with Scotland, and play the bagpipes. I love this painting I did and it tipifies the winter in Scotland with dramatic winter sunsets, and short days, best to keep warm and have a few whiskies

Mouls Island Cornwall The promontory is formed from hard basaltic rock (see also Geology of Cornwall) and projects north into the Atlantic Ocean. Its headlands lie east-to-west. Elephant's warning to the lions The Bull elephant charges the lions who are looking to take the young elephnat. The female cowers in the grass hoping he will not see her, while the male runs off, turning to roar as a final show.

I ATTEMPTED A NEW STYLE OF PAINTING FOR TREES AND THIS WAS THE RESULT, I DIDN'T LIKE IT AT FIRST, BUT SINCE SOMEONE HAS PURCHASED THE PAINTING AND HAD IT CLEANED IT HAS GROWN ON ME.
