The square houses various monuments and landmarks, including the D. Maria II National Theatre (shown here), Rossio Railway Station, and the Column of Pedro IV. Whether it is the paintings, the statues, the carvings, the reliefs, the artifacts, the architecture, the ceilings, the windows, the doors, the foyers, the courtyards, you name it. If you are a photographer and enjoy a bit of art and history and architecture, this is the place to be. After spending 2 days and 3 nights at the Louvre, unfortunately the time has come to visit other places in Paris. We had just entered the Arches National Park, near Moab, Utah, when we couldn't help but stop to take in this remarkable landscape. The erosion of the rock over so many millions of years had sculpted the most magnificent landforms, the like of which I'd never seen before. To top it all off, the stormy sky gave the majesty of the scenery an extraordinary backdrop.
