Ope. A utility expression known to midwesterners in the U.S of. A. Did I bump into you in the grocery store aisle? Ope. Did I block on your foot? Ope. Did I rear end your car? Ope! See? Pretty useful word!

Every Open sign is one letter away from a classic Midwest oopsie-doo. The origins of “ope” are unknown but scientists say the human genome can sense when it is generated in the Midwest region of the United States of America.

Akuma no mi

Operation Junction City was an 82-day military operation conducted by United States and Republic of Vietnam (RVN or South Vietnam) forces begun on 22 February 1967 during the Vietnam War. It was the first U.S. combat airborne operation since the Korean War and one of the largest Airmobile operations of the war Junction City's grand tactical plan was a "hammer and anvil" tactic, with airborne forces "flushing out" the VC headquarters, driving it against a prepared "anvil" of other forces. The U.S. forces included most of the 1st Infantry Division and the 25th Infantry Division including the 196th Light Infantry Brigade, the airborne troops of the 173rd Airborne Brigade and large armored elements of the 11th ACR.

The division fought in the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1970. Arriving in July 1965, the division began combat operations within two weeks. By the end of 1965 the division had participated in three major operations: Hump, Bushmaster 1 and Bushmaster II. In 1966, the division took part in Operation Marauder, Operation Crimp II and Operation Rolling Stone, all in the early part of the year. In June and July the division took part in the battles of Ap Tau O, Srok Dong and Minh Thanh Road. In November 1966, the division participated in Operation Attleboro.

Midwesterners are made of ranch, corn and cows.

Most people think of Portland Bill (Dorset, UK) as the quarry where all that stone that built London came from, or else the place with lighthouse at the end, but never a place with a beach. Tucked away beneath the cliffs about half way along the peninsula, lies Church Ope Cove - a secluded beach of large white pebbles (Portland Stone) and a few unglamorous beach huts. Half way up the path a turn takes you to the remains of the church - little more than a few gravestones, here completely hidden by the shrubbery. In June 1966 during Operation Hawthorne, Company C, 2d Battalion, 502d Infantry was conducting a mission to locate elements of the North Vietnamese People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN) 24th Regiment. Charlie Company made contact with what was estimated to be a battalion-sized enemy element. Under heavy enemy fire and unable to maneuver in any direction, CPT Bill Carpenter called for air strikes on top of his position in an attempt to force the enemy to withdraw. "We might as well take some of them with us", he radioed to the 2nd Battalion command post. The Napalm attack injured seven of Carpenter's men, but the PAVN ceased fire long enough to allow Company C to consolidate, reorganize and establish a position
