Flying Scotsman on the Cathedrals Express rail tour along the Severn Estuary on 19th May 2017. Flying Scotsman is the most famous locomotive in the world and this tour had crowds on every bridge waiting for a glimpse of this Icon. Photograph taken near Westbury-on-Severn, Gloucestershire as the sun was setting.

Steam trains are always something incredible, for example the steam trains in the Isle of Man still running today are over 100 years old, built at the Gorton works in Manchester. These work horses go through some of the most scenic routes across the island, and with many people still using them for commuting to work. The Norfolk and Western Railway (reporting mark NW), commonly called the N&W, was a US class I railroad, formed by more than 200 railroad mergers between 1838 and 1982. It was headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia, for most of its existence. Its motto was "Precision Transportation"; it had a variety of nicknames, including "King Coal" and "British Railway of America". In 1986, N&W merged with Southern Railway to form today’s Norfolk Southern Railway.
