On the Greek Island of Halki, there are many ruined and abandoned houses like this one. The Islands population has declned from 4000 to just about 300 over the course of the last 50 years or so. What remains of the population has mostly moved to Nimborio, the only remaining village on the Island. Tourism is thriving in Halki and many of the abandoned houses are being rebuilt to aid the tourist boom. Halki is a small yet very charming island in the Dodecanese that is situated opposite the west coast of Rhodes. Three bracketed JPGs converted to HDR in Dynamic-Photo HDR.
