The Breakfast Club is a 1985 American independent teen coming-of-age comedy-drama film written, produced, and directed by John Hughes. It stars Emilio Estevez, Paul Gleason, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, and Ally Sheedy. The film tells the story of five teenagers from different high school cliques who serve a Saturday detention overseen by their authoritarian vice-principal.

I remember sitting in detention one Saturday morning eating my bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast club sandwich when I noticed that girl from Mr. Vernon's class sitting across from me. She looked so pretty in pink jeans and a gym t-shirt, I couldn't help but stare at her. I've been crushing on her for a long time. I was trying to think of a way to start talking to her when I saw her messing around with these sixteen candles and I whispered over to her and asked her if she was using them for that weird science project that we had due on Monday. She smiled and nodded and whispered back "Can you help me?" as she motioned for me to come sit next to her. It was a perfect day, and I think of it every time I see that old gym shirt.

We got everything you need: food, fuel and military grade weapons! Just come on by the Dixie Boy Truck Stop! We can even take care of those pesky rigs that just ain't acting right... I grew up near Wilmington, NC, the filming location for "Maximum Overdrive" and have always been a fan of this movie, so it made sense to do a shirt in tribute to this movie and also as kind of a tribute to our local film industry.
