Sometimes you spot a window; and wonder what's behind; what does it hide; what does it protect; who does it protect; so many thoughts and so many questions. We all have windows of our own; built over time; locked, tightly shut, no handles to grab and no knobs to turn; most often with no keys left behind; we threw away the keys. A prison of our own making. And I wonder what's behind. The exterior of an abandoned hotel in Malmsbury, Victoria. (Australia). This biblical quote adorned the wall and it felt eerily ironic below the empty window of what must have once been a busy and bustling hotel.

These are images of random doors and windows that I came across while walking the streets of Comayagua in Honduras. I get intrigued by the richness of the colors, by the lack of colors, by the shoddy paint jobs, by the fact that most of them don’t even look structurally sound (some don’t even have straight lines). And there lies the beauty of most of what I encountered in this country. And BTW, all of these structures are occupied either by a family or by a local business. Walking along the streets of Tegucigalpa, I came across this window on an old house in an old neighborhood. There seems to be an electric wire that is running through this window to the inside of the house. I tried tracing the wire outside the house, but it led me to the top of a tree about a 100 ft away. Sometimes I wonder... But I still liked the character on this window, enough to frame this image and click the shutter on my camera. The following few images are all about some unfinished construction (or destruction/remodeling) projects that I encountered while walking the streets of Lisbon. Some I thought were quite interesting in their mystery and their purpose; others were intriguing to photograph because of their unusual characteristics. ‘Affluent Influence’ is predominated by resembling pearls in many opulent pastel hues, with an explosion of energy and colour, giving a spectrum and metaphoric choices. These are choices of opportunities and aspiration with exuberance, shown by the explosive effect in all directions, giving off intensity and enthusiasm as in many of my paintings. Then again, one may find the opposite of what I have just mentioned and find being drawn into the middle of the painting, as it seems to have a pull to the centre too. Las Flores is a small town located in the Honduran department of Lempira. The town is 200 meters away from the paved road. It was first called Las Flores de Santa Bárbara, honoring the image of the saint of that place. It was granted the category of municipality in January 1869. The population in 2015 was estimated at about 9,800 people, with about 90% of them are cross-breed of native Indians and Spanish settlers. Because of the small size of the community, the inhabitants have a very peaceful life that it is very normal for kids to gather at the central park or on streets very late at night. It took me about 1 hour to visit the town and meet few of the locals. Many of the doors and windows here are decorated with mural-like ...
