Ty Meier drew this over two years; it's a intensely detailed very large stream of consciousness meditation exercise. It's full of quotes about his philosophy, like "You were probably not born a genius, but becoming one is a pretty good use of a lifetime". Everything is related to the good and bad things about Catharsis, finding joy in life. Good Catharsis is finishing a large project. Bad Catharsis are self-destructive habits.

Completed in 1863, the Henniker Covered Bridge was the second bridge on the site, following the original stone arch bridge that was built in 1845 which was washed away by a flood in 1852.

I've lived near the New forest for around 25 years now, yet only this year, on a lockdown cycle ride did I discover the tranquil little inlet of Ashlett Creek. You can find it just behind Fawley oil refinery, yet you can see, hear and smell nothing of it. The narrow channel leads out to the busy shipping lane of Southampton Water, so there is just a glimpse of container ships, the isle of wight ferry and other large boats passing. The large building is an old tide mill. Out of shot, to the left is a pub - shut at present due to lockdown. I've painted this version in oil on a 16 x 12 inch board.

Boats moored on the Beaulieu River near the coast of Hampshire. The river starts its life not far from here near Lyndhurst in the New Forest. It flows for a somewhat short distance to the sea passing through the village of Beaulieu from which it takes its name. A little further on it passes the hamlet of Bucklers Hard before meeting the sea on the Solent. At Bucklers Hard, not far from here, mighty wooden battleships were built, incluiding Nelson's favourite, the 'Agamemnon'.

Triple Punch Number of views as of 9th May 2019 = 1270. Heather Keeble working her team of three Suffolk Punches in the Heavy Horse Turnout Championship at the New Forest Show, near Brockenhurst, Hampshire, England. The team are harnessed in 'unicorn' formation, one at the front, two at the back. The breed, always chestnut in colour, takes the first part of its name from the county of Suffolk in East Anglia, and the name "Punch" from its solid appearance and strength. Date: 28th July 2011.

Lepe (Hampshire, UK) is one of the places I cycle to from my home in Romsey. It lies on the edge of the New Forest and is one of the nearest patches of beach to the city of Southampton. It offers views of the ships coming and going through the Solent, and with pleasant walks through a country park - all with a cafe for tea and cake afterwards. This view comes from a summer's day, when the place was busy (a big contrast to how it looks under lockdown). The arrangement of people made me think of Seurat's pointillist painting, inspiring me to paint the scene myself - but in my own style. I've painted it in oil on a 30x20 inch board
