This is the kamon of the Hattori ninja clan. It's a fictional clan based on a famous Japanese samurai and ninja Hattori Hanzou. The kamon is fictional too. The design is red on a dark background. The mon is similar to the coat of arms from European heraldic tradition. Although, there is a big difference, the mon stays clean and minimalistic in design. European crests tend to get very complicated by combining other family crests over the generations. The Torii gate is a spiritual symbol belonging to Shintoism. Torii gates serve as a gateway between the spiritual world and the physical one.

A torii is a traditional Japanese gate most commonly found at the entrance of or within a Shinto shrine, where it symbolically marks the transition from the mundane to the sacred. Torii gates were traditionally made from wood or stone, but today they can be also made of reinforced concrete, copper, stainless steel or other materials. The function of a torii is to mark the entrance to a sacred space.

雷神 Raijin is a god of lightning, thunder and storms in the Shinto religion and in Japanese mythology.His name is derived from the Kanji characters for rai (雷, "thunder") and shin (神, "god"). He is typically depicted as a demon-looking spirit beating drums to create thunder, usually with the symbol tomoe drawn on the drums. In Japanese art, the deity is often depicted together with Fujin, the god of wind.
