2ndBattalion 28thField Artillery. (175MM SP,later 155MM SP)Activated in 1966 at Hindenburg Kaserne in Ansbach (1-75 FA was reflagged as 2-28 FA). The unitmoved the same year to Bleidorn Kaserne where it remained until it was reflagged as the 3-17 FA in 1989 In early 1966, the 2nd 28th was moved from Hindenburg Kaserne up to Bleidorn Kaserne at the top of the hill not far from Barton Barracks.
