Free Spirit T-Shirt

Acrylics on canvas - 102 cm x 76 cm . I originally painted this to enter into an Equine exhibition. I never managed to finish it to the point where I was happy to enter any shows. It sat in the studio for over a year, unloved and unappreciated, while I worked on other stuff. There was a lot about the painting that I loved, but I wasn't happy with the whole, and didn't know how to fix the problem. I decided that I would eventually paint over the whole thing. Sometimes procrastination can work in your favour, because when I showed the painting to my good friend, who is also an artist, she loved the painting, and suggested how I could fix the problem with the awkward hind legs.
