Devourer of Souls (psychic inquisition) T-Shirt

This is an india ink drawing from about 1992, approximately A4 sized. I did it with a dipping nib pen. I suppose it is about a kind of existential horror of life (and death)_ guilt-anxiety, fear of the loss of self, and a sense of being under psychic assault_ all filtered through a dark psychedelic perception and my admiration for expressionist woodcuts. As with most of my images, this was drawn directly on the page without preparation, or my having any preconceived notion of what I was going to do; so the above interpretation is more or less retrospective.
