The Pacific Northwest is known for its amazing sunsets, but this one was especially astounding. I saw it from the Edmonds to Kinston ferry, while on a trip to La Push on the Olympic Peninsula. The purples, oranges, blues, and golden yellows were so vivid and created radiant reflections. The whole sky appeared to glow, and many ferry riders gave up the comfy seat inside to watch the sunset from the deck. I love how the Olympic Mountains are silhouetted in blue, purple, and black, with everything else glowing orange and purple. This photo might seem oversaturated, but I actually desaturated it slightly from the original to try to slightly tone down the oranges.
