Chipmunk On Its Favorite Stump by Debra Martz Last September we spent a week in Chama, New Mexico right on the Chama River. Several chipmunks would play on the rocks and stumps and tease our dog, Latte', by moving really close to her (she was leashed and couldn't reach their area). They would make clicking sounds and flick their tails which would make her jump up and at that point the chipmunk would scamper to this stump which was an even safer distance from Latte'.
