The village of Weybourne (North Norfolk, England) had two mills, a water mill and this fine 5 storey brick-built windmill built in 1850. The mill was worked for over 60 years by a succession of millers, who must have found it hard to make a living as at least one went bankrupt. The mill changed hands numerous times during the last century and various restoration work was carried out. It was sold for £125,000 in 1982 - quite a large sum at the time, but looking at the condition of the mill and adjacent property today, and considering current prices, that would appear to have been a sound investment.
