Sunny Day at Lake Louise T-Shirt

This is an image of beautiful Lake Louise, in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. The lake gets its stunning colour from the rock flour suspended in the water. Fed by the meltwater from the glaciers above, as they very slowly grind their way downhill, the rock particles accumulate in the lake. I first went there in 1958 with my parents, at which time the glacier was far more extensive, and again in 1988 when the glacier had clearly diminished in size. This image was captured yet later in 2013, at which time the lower reaches of the glacier had gone.
