The Log Cabins T-Shirt

Historic T-Shirt

designed and sold by  KirtTisdale

The Log Cabins is an art print I created using an impasto oil technique. This technique focuses on bold brush strokes and bright colors creating a traditional oil painting look. The inspiration behind this art print is Fort Misery, which is the oldest log building associated with the the territory of Arizona. This structure currently stands on the grounds of the Sharlot Hall Museum in Prescott, Arizona. It was originally built in 1863-1864 along the banks of Granite Creek (two blocks south of the museum). It was disassembled and reassembled on the museum grounds in 1934. Fort Misery was built by a trader as a home and store.
