It takes around 350 steps to go down to Egremni (or "Egremnoi") beach and here you can see the last few of them. Egremni beach (Lefkada island, Ionian Sea, Eptanisa, Greece) is a world famous beach and definitely one of the best in Greece.

The "Dimitrios" shipwreck, in Glyfada beach, very close to Gytheio town (Lakonia, Peloponnese, Greece). It's been lying there for decades. Is said that the ship made smuggling of cigarettes from Turkey to Italy, when it fell in storm and was abandoned in this beach of Peloponnese.

Papafrangas cave is located at the northwest side of Milos island (Cyclades, Aegean Sea, Greece) , about 4 km from Pollonia (or "Apollonia") village, and right beside the very important prehistoric arhaelogical site of Fylakopi. About 7-8 years ago, during my first visit to Milos, I remember that people could go down there and swim. The last time I went there, there was a rope and a sign that prohibited the descent to the cave-beach, because the "carved" path on the rock, is too steep and dangerous. Anyway I went down there and took this photo. *TECHNICAL INFO: I lowered manually the ISO to 50, used a small aperture (f/22), an ND-4 (2-stop down) filter, a polarizer and a tripod for this long shutter speed.

My home is the beach

Tons of lava from some volcanic explosion a couple of millions years ago, froze rapidly and with the help of erosion, wind and sea, created some unearthly landscapes in Milos island (Cyclades, Aegean Sea, Greece). The variety of shapes and colors in the Milian landscape, would make jealous even the most imaginative artist. Photo taken at Sarakiniko beach.
