Hayling Island has many facets. People are generally familiar with the long shingle beach on the English channel, but less so with this. The Kench is a shallow bay on the mainland facing side of the island, populated with chalets where the land remains above the tide, and boats where it isn't. At this point its too shallow for either, so a pair of swans have it to themselves. Painted in oil on a 12x12 inch board.

The picture was taken in Hagnau, Germany with a view in eastern direction - and as promised another image of my collection "Sun, Moon & Stars".
