British Rail T-Shirts

The famous British Rail Double Arrow was launched in 1965 as part of a major rebranding exercise. I have used the arrow to create a pattern in blue and white, repeating the logo to make the print design.

You'll be catching everyone's eye in this dazzling dress, and you'll be chuffed to bits with this railway-themed purchase! The BR double arrow was first introduced in 1965 and is familiar to people all across the UK.

British Railways Pacer train

The Class 47 was built in Loughborough by Brush Traction between 1962 and 1968. I've drawn it in Sector livery which some members of the class would have carried in the 1980s.

It is often thought that 'Rocket' was the first steam locomotive ever built, but this is not the case. It was built in 1829 and was the most advanced steam locomotive at the time, bringing together several innovations that made it stand out at the Rainhill Trials. Rocket is therefore famous as it it took a big leap forward with locomotive technology. If someone see you with this design, you'll be able to tell them all about it when they inevitably tell you that they recognise 'Rocket' as the first steam locomotive ever built (which was incidentally built by Richard Trevithick in the early 1800s).

Deltic 55 002 at York Station late one night

A black and white image of Great Western Prairie engine 2-6-2, number 5541 built in 1928 at Swindon and preserved on the Dean Forest Railway in Gloucestershire. This engine had undergone a nine year restoration and returned to service on the Dean Forest Railway on the 19th April 2014. Captured here on the first weekend in May in the spring sunshine, looking as good as the day she left the Swindon works over 85 years ago!

This class of engine (2800) was responsible for hauling most of the long distance heavy freight trains on the GWR / BR western region for almost 60 years!
