This piece took application upon application of inks, media and water based colours on saturated heavy duty paper until the subtle background became distant and the " focus " linear reds amalgamated. It reminds me of someone hearing the words and meanings from a politicians mouth which will never come to pass, promises based upon mutual belief that a democratic decision will be adhered to when a legitimate and legal vote of future public policy has gained a majority. But in practice, however, a majority of the public are not ' elites ' with agendas and lifestyles totally out of the norm of common folk and it is they can then go on to deny a decision already made because it does not suit them.
