The Clock Tower at Morpeth in Northumberland was constructed between the years 1604 and 1632. It was build with stone and the walls are up to three and a half feet thick. The image is also available in monochrome.

Spanish Adobe is an art print where I used a traditional watercolor technique. This technique uses subtle colors and brush strokes creating a warm traditional look. The viewpoint of the art print is looking over the tropical plants to the covered porch. The setting is the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. On the grounds of the Alamo are many buildings making up the complex. This old adobe sits at the end of a garden in a back corner. The church of the Val-de-Grâce was built by order of Queen Anne of Austria, wife of Louis XIII of France. After the birth of her son Louis XIV, Anne (previously childless after 23 years of marriage) showed her gratitude to the Virgin Mary by building a church on the land of a Benedictine convent. The church of the Val-de-Grâce, designed by François Mansart and Jacques Lemercier, is considered by some as Paris's best example of baroque architecture (curving lines, elaborate ornamentation and harmony of different elements). This design comes from the key map and index page of the 1924 Sanborn Fire Insurance Map of Sycamore, DeKalb County, Illinois. Sanborn maps were used by fire insurance companies to determine the fire risk to a given property based on it's construction materials, usage, proximity to other structures, water supplies, and firefighting services. Perhaps because of the potential for prairie fires, this map volume noted the prevailing wind direction.

Historian Doane Robinson conceived the idea for Mount Rushmore in 1923 to promote tourism in South Dakota. In 1924, Robinson persuaded sculptor Gutzon Borglum to travel to the Black Hills region to ensure the carving could be accomplished. Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a sculpture carved into the granite face of Mount Rushmore, a batholith in the Black Hills in Keystone, South Dakota, United States. Sculptor Gutzon Borglum created the sculpture’s design and oversaw the project’s execution from 1927 to 1941 with the help of his son, Lincoln Borglum.

This is a blue temple that I found while driving around on Google street view. Oh well.... there is currently a pandemic happening and we are getting confined to our houses. It is one way in the change my subject from time to time without leaving the house. This temple can be found in Greece, but I bet you already knew that.
