This print is of an original hand drawn artwork of mine which is inspired by acoustic guitar singer songwriter Legend J Taylor. When drawing this piece I spent a lot of time on the composition, the style and the overall look of the drawing. Focusing on the 70s period of his career the original piece was drawn using a varitey of indian inks which gave me the capability to add in detailed and really fine line work in my drawing to ensure every fine line of hair, shading and texturing were included. In a time before 5g, 4g or cell phones altogether, there were landlines that tethered us to a wall, night stand or some other flat surface to place/mount your telephone to. Most of the time, when you called someone if you didn't instantly recognized the person that answered your call or vice versa, you would have to ask to speak to that person and the voice on the other end might say something like "may I ask who is calling?" All brought to each dwelling by the statuesque, telephone pole.
