Pretty spring bouquet in pink hues in a vase. I was inspired to draw these flowers by my grandmother who was a wonderful watercolor painter and her favorite subject to paint was flowers. Her home was filled with her florals, and is like living inside a lovely colorful garden. I love these peonies, ranunculus, dahlia, and other buds in a small pitcher vase.

A busy traffic pattern inspired by playing with my son. He loves anything with wheels and I drew these wonky cars, trucks, buses, lights, and taxis in primary colors.

Photo of colorful macarons stacked on top of each other. French macarons are my favorite treat to indulge in and fruity flavors are my favorite. I was inspired to photograph this stack of cookies for my daughter's nursery, because they just happened to be the perfect hues that I was using in her bedroom. This was just meant to be.

Revisiting my dotted scallop pattern in a tangerine orange. I love this classic pattern with hand drawn dots to create each scallop giving this pattern a more natural feel.

Modern Zebra on a striking magenta / hot pink background. A vector illustration that I created using the stripes of the zebra to form the body. I offset the white body in order to be reminiscent of screen printing process. Inspired by the zebras at my local zoo I tried a more "pop" art take on this bizzare animal.

So what is this? The image depicts just one of the many, many screens that line the galleries surrounding the tiers in Angkor Wat. The screens allow light to enter the galleries during the day. These screens are essentially identical, the only real difference being whether they were intact or not. In some of the screens, one or more of the pillars were missing, but this one is intact. The pillars in each screen must have been turned on a lathe in order to create such perfectly formed spindles, both within each screen and from screen to screen. It is remarkable that such delicate structures could have survived for nine hundred years. Angkor Wat is not just a remarkable tourist destination, it is an architectural wonder.

Chair bodging is a craft particularly associated with the beechwoods covering the Chiltern Hills. The bodger here is working at his pole lathe, often referred to as a High Wycombe lathe, turning out chair legs for the furniture industry. Bodgers would usually buy stands of trees and set up their workplace among them. The Chilterns are known for their typical furniture with turned wooden legs and stretchers - such as the Windsor chair.
