A taper is a person who records musical events, often from standing microphones in the audience, for the benefit of the band's fan base. Fans would share their tapes through trade, creating a unique sub-culture where no money was exchanged, just copies of live shows swapped among fans. Taping was popularized in the late '60s and early '70s, and while bands initially attempted to thwart it, most eventually embraced tapers. While audio recording was largely tolerated, it wasn't officially allowed until the creation of a 'tapers' section' that was usually located behind the soundboard in the '80s where tapers could do their thing. Taping setups are generally portable, with condenser microphones, phantom power, a preamp, and a recording device.

For those living in Los Angeles in the '70s and '80s, there was only one place to see a rock concert or a sporting event: The Fabulous Forum. In 1967, The Forum rose from a former golf course in Inglewood like a modern-day Roman Coliseum. Its financier, Jack Kent Cooke, was a door-to-door encyclopedia salesman turned multi-millionaire owner of both pro basketball and hockey teams. He dreamed of building sports' answer to the Taj Mahal in Los Angeles, and The Fabulous Forum was his dream come true, as a 75' high Roman-style building adorned by 80 exterior columns. The facility was a shining star of the greater L.A. area for decades, hosting countless events from sports championships and rock concerts, to circuses and home shows.

On 22nd September 2023 a concert is being held at Dingwalls in London. Organised by Eleni Boo Gagoushi this is to raise money to help the forgotten families in Cuba who people were queuing on rations for Bread and then swapping Toothpaste, Soaps, and more. So my profits raised from selling merch in the group Bag Of Joy will be going to the Cause. Not only are TeePublic aware (after liaising with them) all the musicians that will appear in here as part of the Tiny heroes world of The Magical Music Man have given their permission for the likeness to be use.
