Another pattern of mine. This is one of three colorways.

Created from individual hand painted watercolor elements. It has been pouring with rain since last night and I feel like I spent all day arranging flowers. But without having to go out into the wet garden to pick them.

This pattern took me ages, long enough to make me wonder what I was thinking even starting on such an ambitious (for me) project. But my garden is full of proteas, and they are so lovely, I find their shapes and colors endlessly inspiring, so it had to be done. I couldn't ignore them anymore. : )

I wanted to make strawberry patterns, first with a simple photograph with the strawberries arranged in some semblance of a polka dot pattern and secondly, digitally using the strawberries to make a true repeat pattern. Just experimenting and playing with ideas. This is the repeat pattern version.

Of course, Reilly was actually about to pinch Hudson's face really hard and then try and bite his cheek, because Hudson is one more toy that he can stuff in his mouth (or try to, anyway.) It has actually been raining in my garden all day - so lovely and so needed. This pattern was created from a single, hand drawn, ink doodle.

Mixing some geometric patterns that I enjoy with my own doodled patterns and pretty colors and gradients.

Every time I walk out of my front door the fuchsias that grow there whisper and beckon, telling me to paint them, draw them, photograph them ... Maybe now they'll stop nagging and let me come and go in peace. This is a second colour version.

I've been working on this pattern for the last few days, a simple floral in purple. I like irises, they're so floppy and delicate and yet sculptural and structured at the same time. This is one of two colorways.
