The venus flytrap sea anemone is a deep sea animal in the phyla Cnidaria, with jellyfish and coral. A filter feeder, it uses its tentacles to capture small particles floating in the ocean. Unlike many sea anemones, it uses a stalk to lift it up into the ocean current so it can collect more food.

Spotted ratfish are chimeras (also known as ghostfish, rabbitfish or ratfish) and cartilaginous fish (in the class Chondrichthyes). The spiky ball on the head of the male (called the cephalic tentaculum) is used to hold the female in place during sex.

Watch out, folks! The angry anglerfish is like a pufferfish on steroids.

Biremis blandi is a member of the phyla Annelida. It was first observed by the pilot of the deep sea submersible Alvin, Ed Bland, for whom it was named. The fluffy looking ball is actually a mass of tentacles, which are used for finding and collecting food.

Blobby, bright, and somewhat graceful... but enough about me. What's not to love about the jellyfish. Fun fact: one of many names for a group of jellies is a "Smack" - so smack this design on whatever you like and make others a little jelly.

What we eat we become... What if this was the case? If you ate fish and became a fish..? Or you ate meat and became meat... but just meat? Would this be beneficial - no of course not... but what we put in the oceans is having a dramatic effect upon how our wildlife will respond, both phenotypically and genotypically... Maybe this disturbance, will be less harmful than we imagine, but who really knows..? We are already seeing the effects of micro-plastics entering marine ecosystems by their ingestion... this will have ramifications within our World... Without even mentioning the harmful chemicals which we have deliberately put into the oceans... such as Corexit... Do we really know that the fish that we are eating or that our wildlife is ...
