"風神" Fujin or Futen is the Japanese god of the wind and one of the eldest Shinto gods.He is portrayed as a terrifying wizard-like demon, resembling a red headed green-skinned humanoid wearing a leopard skin, carrying a large bag of winds on his shoulders. In Japanese art, the deity is often depicted together with Raijin, the god of lightning, thunder and storms.

Raijin is the Japanese thunder god, born from Izanagi's dying body, along with the 8 thunder deities, symbolized by the 8 taiko drums surrounding him. While depicted as an Oni, his divinity is shown by the halo often drawn around him, and his fearsome appearance is backed by the fearsome power of the Japanese storms. Raijin is one of the most revered deities in Japan, as the storms brought not only destruction, but also much-needed rains for their rice fields, one of the most important crops of Japan.
