The towpath by the Kennet and Avon Canal leading eastwards into the town of Hungerford in West Berkshire, England. During the mid 1800s, this was a thriving industrial area lined with canalside industrial buildings. Boats would have been busy loading and unloading goods such as Bath stone for building the new mansions in London. The canal was constructed between 1794 and 1810 to link the Thames at Reading with Bristol, enabling goods to be transported smoothly from London to Bristol. Nikon D7100 Nikkor 18-200

This digital creation depicts a succulent garden and a stone walkway with warm desert colors and pops of turquoise and and a soft painterly type look.

There are so many stunning places to hike in Banff in summer, but if you're looking for the most sweeping view with the least walking, the top of Sulphur Mountain is definitely your best option. A quick gondola ride and a kilometre of walking along the boardwalk gets you this amazing view up the Bow River!

Inside City Hall in London. It looks strange on the outside and strange on the inside.

Looking across the cloisters of the monastery at Alcobaça in Portugal to wards the church. This was the first Gothic building to be constructed in the country. It was founded by King Alfonso Henriques in 1147 as a church, beconing a Cistercian monastery in 1153. It was finally consecrated in 1262. The monks here dedicated their lives to meditation and writing illuminated manuscripts including a history of Portugal. Digital pastel art developed from my original image.

Orange Trees is a photographic art print taken in Issaquah, Washington along a major boulevard. Everything in this area is connected by trails and bike paths, which is what this is. The trees were at their peak of color and I liked the way they were lined up. A sand covered wooden walk-way leads up to some steps. The steps lead down to a beach and have wooden handrails either side. The tide is out so the sandy beach changes to small rocks on its way out to the shoreline. The sea is calm with just a couple of small waves. Further out is a rock outcrop that is covered at high tide. The sky is pale blue and cloudless. This photograph was taken at Plaice Cove, Hampton, New Hampshire, USA.

It’s known for well-preserved monuments such as the Arena of Nîmes, a double-tiered circa-70 A.D. amphitheater still in use for concerts and bullfights. The Maison Carrée white limestone temple and Pont du Gard tri-level aqueduct are around 2,000 years old.
