Camera: Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III Uchisar is one of the most famous villages of Cappadocia, and one of the best places to have as a "base" while exploring this magnificent region, along with Goreme and Urgup. Uchisar means "edge castle" , and its famous for that castle, which is not a castle like we know it with walls and doors etc. It's a very tall volcanic rock, with holes and tunnels, a natural castle that was used like one, since the Byzantine years (there is one more similar village in Cappadocia, called Ortahisar, which I think means "Middle castle").
