Fantastical Roofline Against the Sky, Wat Pho Tank Top

While visiting Southeast Asia, I was really taken with the incredibly ornate roofs on the more distinct and culturally important buildings. While the roofs were wonderfully patterned with contrasting shades of orange, red, green, and other colours, the gable ends almost always had these sculpted end pieces, all coated in gold. I was told that the characters depicted snakes, but to me they looked like single-horned antelopes, but who am I to know. In capturing this image, I really liked the backdrop of the wonderful cloud formation beyond; the roof looked so proud against that backdrop and yet had a sense of peace.
