An enormous arched doorway appeared at the base and the scorpion took us inside. It closed behind us as if by magic and then we could feel the structure descending deep within the Earth. We stopped moving downward and then the door opened up to reveal a long corridor that led us even further beneath the surface. We passed through a sacred burial ground where the dead were encased in glasslike coffins. The narrow tunnel opened up to reveal an underground city of immense proportions. There was a vast labyrinth of tunnels and pathways with elves scurrying all about. Strange creatures were everywhere--going this way and...
