British weather at its unpredictable best! Situated in the Solent off the south coast of England, the Isle of Wight is 23 miles long by 13 miles wide and has 60 miles of largely unspoilt coastline from the The Needles in the west to Bembridge in the east. Narrow Boat, Gloucester Docks Number of views as of 23rd December 2017 = 900. The narrow boat 'Amber' at Gloucester Docks has been converted into a floating cafe 'The Cafe on the Cut'. The port of Gloucester had its heyday in the late 1800s, but by the 1970s the wharfs, warehouses and docks themselves had fallen into disrepair. A restoration programme to regenerate the area was begun in the 1980s, and the barge is moored alongside one of the newer, residential buildings which complement the older red-brick warehouse buildings seen to the left of shot. Location: City of Gloucester (pronounced 'Gloster'), Gloucestershire, England. Date: 18th February 2015.

Thornycroft Swiftsure Number of views as of 4th December 2017 = 930. Thornycroft built coaches, buses and trucks in the UK from 1896 until 1977. Starting out with steam powered vans and lorries, the company built their first petrol engined vehicle in 1902 and had completely switched over to the internal combustion engine by 1907. Perhaps their best known and most successful vehicle was the 'Mighty Antar' used by the UK military as a tank transporter. This beautifully restored 1959 cattle truck is something of a rarity and would have been originally built at Thornycroft's factory in Basingstoke, Hampshire. Blue Boat Number of views as of 7th June 2017 = 900. Pictured at Carse Sands, near Carsethorn, on the Solway Firth, Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland. Technically part of the Irish Sea, the Solway Firth forms part of the border between Scotland and England. If you look closely, you can just make out the mountains of the Lake District on the horizon (top right). Stake-nets for catching salmon are set out across the tidal mud-flats, so the boat could well be used in connection with salmon fishing. Date: 24th August 2008. Click here to see a Scottish wreck

Home on the Broads Number of views as of 24th January 2018 = 930. A desirable residence on the Broads near Wroxham, Norfolk. The Broads are a network of (mostly navigable) rivers and lakes in the English counties of Norfolk and Suffolk. The Broads and surrounding land is a specially protected area, managed in a similar way to UK National Parks. The total area is 303 square kilometres (117 square miles), most of which is in Norfolk, with over 200 kilometres (120 miles) of navigable waterways. There are seven rivers and 63 broads, the majority less than 4 metres deep. Thirteen broads are generally open to navigation, with a further three having navigable channels. Date: 11th August 2010. The Astral Crown Number of views as of 9th November 2017 = 900. This is the Astral Crown, which stands (at a slightly more upright angle than shown here) on top of the Air Forces Memorial chapel, at Coopers Hill, Runnymede, Surrey, England. The memorial is dedicated to some 20,000 air men and women from the British Empire who died in operations during the second World War and who have no recorded grave anywhere else in the world. The memorial is inscribed with the name of each person who gave their life, ordered by country, squadron and rank. It was unveiled by Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. Fittingly, the memorial offers fine views of aircraft landing at nearby Heathrow airport, and is also in view of royal residence, Windsor Castle. Runny...

Wells-Next-The-Sea Number of views as of 23rd May 2019 = 920. Once a haven for smugglers, the picturesque seaside village of Wells-Next-The-Sea is on the northern coast of the county of Norfolk, England. Fishing boats line the quayside, which is about a mile inland from the North Sea and reached by a channel 'The Run', only fully navigable at high tide. A mile to the north of the village, a row of beach huts backed by pine woods overlooks a superb, wide, sandy beach stretching out several miles to the east and west, but visitors must be careful not to be cut off by the in-rushing tide. Morgan - BRG Number of views as of 24th January 2018 = 925. The unmistakable, classic lines of the Morgan, the iconic British sports car. The Morgan Motor Company is the last remaining, family-owned, independent, British motor car manufacturer. About 100 cars a month are built, each subject to exacting standards of design, craftsmanship and performance. This car is finished in my favourite colour, British Racing Green, well you can't beat it, can you! Date: 28th September 2014.
