Maine Tank Tops

I sold my home and most of my belongings and started on an adventure traveling to place I had never visited but always wanted to. This was taken near Camden Maine.

This design celebrates Acadia National Park, established in 1916 in Maine. It features a beautiful landscape of mountains, forests, and the ocean, with a vintage-style font to commemorate the park's long history.

This big black beetle is called a False Mealworm Beetle. It’s a very large beetle, and it looks like it’s made of leather. Weird! It lives all over the United States. Including Maine, where I live. I found one in my bathroom once, even though they usually live under logs. That was quite a surprise!

© Richard Bean 2014 Schooner VIRGINIA VIRGINIA is a reproduction of the last all sail vessel built for the Virginia Pilot Association. The original ship sailed for the pilots from 1917-1926, training apprentice pilots in seamanship and navigation. The reproduction, built in Norfolk between 2002-2004, is also used as an educational platform. Her programs include courses in maritime history, marine science, maritime literature, and team-building for both students and adults. The ship has sailed as far south as Trinidad, east to Bermuda, north to Prince Edward Island, and all along the Atlantic Coast of the United States.
