Subject Patient: Code Name - "Melange" / Patient 032 Summary Description: "Melange" is a 20-year-old female patient of the psychiatric hospital, once a beautiful young lady now afflicted by a devastating condition that causes the skin of her face to melt. Each day, she endures excruciating pain that would test even the strongest of wills, threatening to drive her to the brink of insanity. To alleviate her suffering, the use of medication is essential, as it provides some relief from the relentless agony she experiences. Without it, there is a risk that she may harm herself in an attempt to escape the torment of her condition. Meanwhile, hospital staff and doctors tirelessly work to help manage and treat her condition.

As this planet is the only source of the “spice” melange, the most important and valuable substance in the universe, control of Arrakis is coveted.
