Osiris Tank Tops

This depiction of Sekhmet comes from an Ancient Egyptian menat counterweight. A menat was a type of heavily beaded ritual necklace and the Sekhmet image was used as a counterweight on the back. There are representations of women holding the necklace, possibly shaking them to make noise, during ceremonies honoring the goddess. Here you can see Sekhmet represented as a lion-headed goddess figure. I've recreated this depiction of Sekhmet in my own style based off a menat counterweight located in the Met.

After The Burial Metal

Anubis is the ancient Egyptian god of death rites and mummification. According to Osiris myth, he was crown prince who was in his bandages. Anubis is in equation also the manifestation of Horus and Osiris. A somber and dark design of the Egyptian god Anubis, who was often depicted with a dog or jackal head.

This design is based of a talatat from Amarna in Ancient Egypt. Amarna was an 18th Dynasty city established by one of the most notorious pharaohs, Akhenaten. A talatat was a standardized piece of limestone that was used for construction and often decorated in beautiful imagery, sometimes relating to the worship of the Aten. Here the talatat represented a field of ripe barley, swaying in the breeze. I've recreated this as a block print and printed it by hand in before scanning it.
