The Barcelona Metro system, first opened underground in the 1920s, now consists of a sprawling network of lines criss-crossing the great city and providing transit to more than 400 million passengers every year, making it the second busiest metro system in Spain behind Madrid. This design is inspired by the 9000 Series train manufactured by Alstom, which run on lines 2, 4, 9 and 10.

The Eastern Mass Street Railway was founded in 1919, as a result of a formal reorganization of its predecessor, the Bay State Street Railway. Serving as a primarily streetcar-based service, the company eventually replaced all routes with buses (as was a national trend). In March of 1968, the EMSR was sold to the MBTA, ending almost 50 years of various transit service in Massachusetts.

On top of its metro system, Brussels boasts a large and efficient tram network. This design is based on the newer Bombarider T3000 tram model, introduced to the streets of the Belgian capital from 2005 onwards.

Founded in 1968, Wichita Southeast Kansas Transit (WSKT) was a privately held trucking company that started as a certificated Kansas Intrastate Carrier, serving Wichita and Southeast Kansas with overnight freight service. WSKT grew their network to 46 terminals in a closed loop line haul configuration across fifteen states. WSKT offered LTL Interstate and Intrastate, Pool Distribution, and Time Definite Delivery services and continued their reputation of guaranteed overnight service up until the end when they were sold in 2005.

Ope! Sorry about that, just trying to grab the window seat. This homage to the CTA is the ultimate gift for commuters, or anyone else who's ever had the pleasure/misfortune of riding the rails in Chicago.

I took this photograph near the Siam Paragon mall at the BTS Siam stop in January 2019. The Skytrain runs in the background transporting Thai people and visitors along the BTS Siam route through Bangkok. I've always found neon lights and the hustle and bustle of the city at night to be something electric, something that engages me in a way that it just doesn't during the day. The day is for work and the night is for play. Some of these people are headed home after a long day of work and others are headed out with friends and fun. During a day the electricity exists but is hidden by the sunlight. The darkness makes this metaphorical / sometimes literal electricity pop into view. The hidden becomes visible. It is not usually seen this way....

A fantasy journey, without loud children or irritable stewards.
