The Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth Number of views as of 20th November 2018 = 370. The 170 metre (560 foot) Spinnaker Tower, overlooking the water-front at Portsmouth (Hampshire, England) and visible from miles around. The Tower represents the shape of a spinnaker sail billowing in the wind, a design accomplished using two large, white, sweeping steel arcs, which give the tower its unusual, yet striking appearance. The Tower is the centre-piece of the Portsmouth harbour redevelopment project, which has transformed the area, and also includes the popular Gunwharf Quays shopping centre. Date: 2nd January 2012. A sure sign of springtime, the humble crocus (plural crocuses or croci) is common in coastal and sub-alpine areas of central and southern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, and across Central Asia to western China. There are about 80 species, mostly hardy perennials, they grow from 'corms' and are part of the iris family (Iridaceae). They come in various colours, although lilac, mauve, yellow and white are the most common. Interesting fact: the spice saffron is obtained from the stigmas of Crocus sativus, an autumn/fall-blooming species. These croci were photographed in Bournemouth Gardens, Dorset, England. The kelpies sculpture

Tower Bridge is a Grade I listed combined bascule and suspension bridge in London, built between 1886 and 1894, designed by Horace Jones and engineered by John Wolfe Barry. The bridge crosses the River Thames close to the Tower of London.
