There's energy created ~ not only in the process, but in that 'tactile connection' between you and mother earth - that is the magic of touch! The energy and focus of creation ~ is held within that 'structural energy' created - which becomes 'potential energy'. The potential to stay precariously supported ~ yet in an instant move - becomes kinetic energy... This capture hopefully depicts such stored potential energy..? Adult and juvenile Australian White Ibis, Threskiornis molucca, nesting in the rookery, Oakden Native Fish Sanctuary, South Australia. This colony of Ibis is in the heart of the Adelaide suburbs. The colony has grown to over 400 in a very short time and many of the local residents are fed up with the noise and stench as their houses are so close to the small park where the colony resides. The birds are protected. At the end of the breeding season it is anticipated that the vegetation where they are nesting will be cut down to encourage them to move on. For those of us who don’t live right next door to them it seems a real shame, as the birds feed on many of the parks and school ovals in the vicinity and are delighted in by the wider comm...

Balancing Act Rock Cairn Thankfully someone was kind enough to leave this amazingly balanced rock Cairn for me to photograph on the beach of Robin Hood's Bay in Yorkshire. A cairn is a man-made pile (or stack) of stones originally used for navigation to mark the route of a trail for others to follow.
