Digital surrealist collage

Using watercolor paper in the background with night sky colors poured and tilted and blended; then painted rocks on mulberry paper and tore them out and mounted them. Painted black acrylic on a long-fiber rice paper and tore it into strips to glue down and create the large foreground tree. After all was dry, painted some mid- and background trees in watercolor and spattered white gouache for a light snowfall.

this uses pictures I took in Toronto, Montana, Dallas, Boston (iirc), Nashville, and California. fun fact: I forced my family to sit through a timeshare presentation so I could procure that very tiny Sony TV. It was a black and white 8 inch screen, but by god if it wasn't lit af playing GTAIII on it for like 5 mins before it died.
