Rapunzel, let down your long hair

This is an abstract piece inspired by the original ending of the Grimm Brothers'"Cinderella" story. Birds knew that the stepsisters had cut off parts of their feet to fit into the glass slipper, and their punishment for being wicked and liars was for the birds to gouge and peck out their eyes. Each sister is represented by the colors red and blue. The middle figure is female, profiled face being pecked out by the bird like structures surrounding the head. Yes, this piece is MUCH darker than the norm, but different can be good if done well.

Vintage illustration Puss in Boots, aka Master Cat, a classic children's Victorian fairy tale story book image with the the cat, Puss, sleeping (taking a nap) in a field with his rabbit animal friends around him. The Puss in Boots fairy tale is about a cat who uses trickery and deceit to gain power, wealth, and the hand of a princess in marriage for his penniless and low-born master.
