This is my other baby doll - the boy version. Reilly, 5 months old. I put him down on a quilt in the garden and lay on my stomach to get this shot. He's growing so amazingly fast I figured I better do a portrait before he's all grown up. Canon 400D.

A portrait of my son, Reilly (4). This was shot in daylight on my veranda, the background is a gorgeous oil painting completed by my incredibly talented grandmother, Jill Tracey, in 1963. I grew up with that painting, as a child I could not sleep in the same room with it, I was convinced that tigers were about to emerge from the pathway that leads into the painting. : ) As an adult it is a treasured possession, priceless.

I've been working on this pattern for the last few days, a simple floral in warm pinks, purples and magenta. I like irises, they're so floppy and delicate and yet sculptural and structured at the same time. This is one of two colorways.
