During the COVID-19 pandemic, I had to turn to what I would call "isolation" photography. I created my own happy space with various objects that are dear to my heart and started exploring macro imaging. Needless to say, it was much more difficult than I thought but I had LOTS of fun creating the images in this series. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. A close-up macro shot from an old dictionary I have (which I absolutely love). How many people out there still use good old dictionaries?! Cattleya Orchid is commonly known as the Corsage orchid. It has frilled flowers in pinks, purples, yellows and white. Cattleya is a genus of 42 species of orchids from Costa Rica to tropical South America. Many hybrids have been developed.

Black and White Macro Lily

North American pitcher plants (Sarraceniaceae), which comprise three genera, are ground-dwelling herbs whose pitchers arise from a horizontal rhizome. Pitcher plants are carnivorous plants whose prey-trapping mechanism features a deep cavity filled with liquid known as a pitfall trap. Canon 500D, macro lens. Apricot-pink Tuberous Begonia flower in macro. Begonia is a genus in the flowering plant family Begoniaceae. With over 1,500 species, Begonia is one of the ten largest angiosperm genera. The species are terrestrial (sometimes epiphytic) herbs or under shrubs and occur in subtropical and tropical moist climates, in South and Central America, Africa and southern Asia.
